According to his wife Amanda Kloots, Nick Cordero ‘s health is improving after waking from a month-long coma.
Kloots posted the complications of her husband’s coronavirus hospitalization (COVID-19) on social media, opened up on Cordero’s current mental state in Thursday’s Instagram Stories video, telling followers that the 41-year-old Broadway star is getting “little stronger” every day.
“His mental status is looking good,” she said. “He’s getting better and better every day. A little stronger every day, so things are really looking great on that front.” However, Kloots noted that Cordero is not fully out of the woods yet as her partner is “still having a little bit of an issue with the infection in his lungs.” “But mental status: We are on good, good progress with mental status,” she added.
In a note shared Tuesday with Instagram Stories, Kloots revealed that after spending more than a month in the hospital, Cordero is conscious and listening as well as responding to commands.”Nick is awake! He is extremely weak, so weak that he can’t close his mouth,” she wrote.
“But he is following commands which means his mental status is coming back this is a long road, a very long road. We are on our way to #coderocky,” she added, considering the term used by health care workers to describe coronavirus patients discharged from hospital after full recovery.
After the Broadway induced coma amid his hospitalization for coronavirus-related complications, and going through so much Nick Cordero ‘s friends are also coming together to show their support.
On Thursday night, during the Chrysalis Night In virtual charity event, Pal Zach Braff introduced a sweet tribute from the Los Angeles cast of Rock of Ages made for Cordero who had previously starred in the rock musical’s Broadway production.
“Everything has gone wrong for Nick. I won’t even go into the many complications, but he ultimately has lost his right leg due to complications,” Braff, who featured alongside Cordero in Bullets Over Broadway, during the stream.” Several days ago, he opened his eyes and has showed some promising signs of returning to us, but it’s going to be a long road for him” wrote for Nick.
